armsmastersproject:

One of the earliest group shots of the initial team of ARMSmasters characters, done as a banner for our blog. The character designs have evolved considerably since then but the essence of them all was getting more established at this point.
From left to right we have Rune, then Kongou, then Aeslyn and Riot in the middle followed by Tyr, Inari and Colette. The dynamics of the group and main story setup have changed considerably since this banner was created but they remain our initial ‘banner 7’ that the rest of the world spun out of, even if the actual group dynamics have altered.
Clean up and color here was done by Mel Miller.

More collaborative art between myself and Mike Winn for The ARMSmasters Project.

So..addictive..can’t stop posting!
Another fun sketch in her signature style. This is Colette, a spunky dungeon delving adventuress in the world of ARMSmasters. Mel MIller (http://javadoodle.tumblr.com/) was instrumental in bringing her to life. Her she is in Mel’s wonderfully energetic and personality driven art style!

A quick doodle of a personal favorite character if mine from the ARMSmasters Project.

Early development art of Aeslyn by Mel Miller! Aint it cool? Back around this time we were still conceptualizing the story and the world and Aeslyn here is more of a sophisticated-older type. We ended up making her younger as her role in the story changed but our current look still has shades of this original and very cool and fun look.

Early explorations into Aeslyn’s color modeling for The ARMSmasters Project.

SKetch work by ARMSmasters team member ‘Mel Miller’ of Aeslyn in her signature art style. It’s different from the house/show style but awesome. Different is good!

Some quick sketches I did of The ARMSmasters Project’s Aeslyn late last year, up on the show’s shiny new art tumblr.

This was a collaborative piece with Mel Miller, one of our team members, back during a Pitch Party contest that Animation Magazine was running, during the very early phases of developing ARMSmasters. We actually placed 10 out of 50 in a contest dominated by quirky ‘Adult Swim’ humor pieces and western comedy concepts. Pretty good! The poster features Riot, our male lead, and Aeslyn, our female lead above him as well as our tomboyish adventuress Colette and above her Kongou the Mountain, our Capcom-esque brute, against a backdrop of floating continents and free blue skies. The visual concept was to convey as many elements as we could of the tone and world visually as we had only a few words to describe the premise.
“An age of glory, when magic flourished and adventure beckoned. Joining hands, we embarked on a journey to change our world: Now, at last, our story can be told..”

The ARMSmasters Project has its own art blog on Tumblr now! And it is AWESOME. Check it out here!

Well, it’s my darling honeybunch Bunny Mel (JavaDoodle)’s birthday, so I decided to colour some arts for her :3
Also on DA.
Luff joo Mellerbie!

A 6 year old drawing of mine’s been given a whole new life with delightfully brutal colors by my lovely roffles. Thank you so much, Kat! I don’t think Noir’s ever looked more wonderfully disturbing. As such, it’s PERFECT ♥

Sketchbook tomfoolery. I started drawing Cardassians on my latest sketchbook page, and they just kept multiplying.
…I seem to have officially run out of page.
Mostly my own character designs, apart from Dukat and Damar boxed up in the top-left, who are now conveniently filling what was a whole lot of blank space before. Plus, hey, they’re fun to draw too.

You guys. I started sketching Cardassians on this one page, and now I can’t seem to stop. Halp.

Nerd problems.

I’d like to say that it’ll just be a phase, but it wont. I ended up creating a plethora of Cardassian characters thanks to a few doodles and now they all have friends, family, extended family, and moderately harmless rivalries. They’re honestly worse than tribbles, you don’t even need to feed them in order for them to reproduce, they just do it on their own!

I’m not the only one? Thank goodness! They’re absolutely like Tribbles, I swear.I have 17 or so others floating around in my head now, besides the characters on this page. It’s out of hand. And I love it :)
